The OxiScan Oximetry Recording and Reporting System is AirSep’s exclusive program that assists providers and clinician’s with the tools necessary to screen or qualify individuals who may be in need of supplemental oxygen. The system also provides easy methods for on-going screening and assessment of oxygen saturation levels.

Because some individuals desaturate only at night, a full overnight study is often necessary. This OxiScan testing can detect not only desaturations (generally SA O2 readings at 88% or below to qualify for supplemental oxygen), but can also screen for sleep apnea. This versatile system can be used for patient assessment, including titration of oxygen conserving devices (OCDs). The tamper-proof system is rented or purchased by health care professionals, and the handheld oximeter is easily operated by the patient so that a full night’s data collection in the comfort of the patient’s own home can be achieved and recorded.

The next day, the physician’s office can download to the HGC (handheld graphic computer) the information collected through the oximeter for reporting and medical interpretation. AirSep’s reporting service makes it simple for the physician’s assessment with the resulting oximetry reports then faxed or sent via e-mail directly to the physician.
